DAC Winter Racing Series imminent

Join us for winter sailing on Saturdays at Dobroyd. All classes/sailors welcome.
May 3, June 7, July 5, August 2
Briefing: 1:00pm
First Start: 1.30pm
 
Three divisions:
Small Open: Sabot, Optimist, Flying 11, Heron and Access and any boat with a Yardstick over 127.
Large Open: All monohulls, except those in the Classic Division, with a Yardstick of 127 or less
Sailboard: All sailboard classes
 
Scoring within each division is based on yardstick. Up to three short races will be sailed each day.
Cost: $5 per day or $15 for the series (per boat)

Heron Travellors Trophy Final Race at DAC

The Final race of the Herons Association Travellers Trophy was held at Dobroyd on
Saturday April 5th. Final placings were calculated by the race secretary Greg Harris
and trophies presented straight after the event.

The Juniors TT was also held at 1130 am in a very light and challenging

NSW Heron Junior State Titles

Congratulations to Jaime Swavley who has 1st in the Junior/ Senior Heron State Titles, in a close fought battle with Emma Harris (NLSC) who took 2nd. And well done to Jack Garner(DAC) who finished 3rd.

Also a well done to Matt Doyle who came home 2nd on Handicap.

Windsurfer One Design State Titles 2008 Wrap

Despite awful weather (rain flooding streets for most of the time, 0-6 knots of wind, lightning, etc) we had a great roll up of 39 sailors for the Windsurfer One Design and Junior One states at Dobroyd on Saturday 2nd February and Narrabeen Lakes on the Sunday. The sailors ranged from ex-Olympians
