Softlock.NET solution consists of following two components:

Softlock Protection Kit: Software used to apply the protection.
Softlock Application Server: Web Service used to authenticate / monitor / support / control / update the protected software, by default it resides in Softlock Server, put it can be installed in any other server.
Softlock.NET is a copy protection solution. It uses the Internet to authenticate the protected application.

The idea of this technique is to activate / authenticate the protected application using stored information in the Application Server. Without this information the protected application is useless.

This product offers the ability to protect the applications, to manage the software after distribution, to handle software activation and user registration, and to provide a set of services for the end-users.

Protected applications using Softlock.NET are useless without activation. Coping software using legal or illegal copy techniques have no effect. After the activation the application can run only on the client machine, the activated application will not run on any other machine.

Softlock.NET provides a very powerful feature to your software; simply you can update your software, fix bugs, upgrade the version, add new contents and install batches using Live update service.
